The spiritual tradition and spiritual aspects of 欧宝游戏平台 are supported and encouraged by our full-time Chaplain, Reverend Raewyn Hedge.
Traditions at 欧宝游戏平台 build our sense of belonging and our spiritual tradition has not changed over the years. By honouring this offering we cherish the past. It is important to us that old girls can come back to visit the Chapel and attend services.
Girls audition for chapel choir from Year 9. They sing at every school chapel service and for the entire school community.
Students are encouraged to be actively involved in chapel worship by leading prayers and doing readings. Through the student spiritual committee (led by our Chapel Prefect), students have the opportunity to contribute fully to the Special Character of the school.
We encourage supporting the community with a range of events such as St Lukes Fair, Daffodil Day and Hospital Chaplaincy.
All students from year 7-10 attend weekly classes. In conjunction with Chapel Services, Religious Studies classes help students to acquire and develop knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other major religions represented in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia. The classes also help girls to develop an understanding and respect for belief in their own and others’ lives.
